About the Department
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE WITH COMPUTER APPLICATION
ABOUT:
Bachelor of Commerce with Computer Application program was started in the year 2011, from its inception it aims to foster foundational skills in both commerce and computer subject. Its core curriculum emphasizes fundamental accounting principles for proficient record-keeping and cultivates entrepreneurial acumen to facilitate ventures. Additionally, the program serves as a stepping stone for pursuing advanced studies such as CA/ICWA/ACS/CMA/ACA certifications or M.Com /MBA degrees.

Abstract [+]
Acetal derivatives of aldehydes are valuable in synthesis either as intermediates or as protecting groups. It is known that acetals are susceptible to addition oxidation, reduction, rearrangement, condensation and hydrolysis in the presence of catalysts. The literature contains a few references on the preparations and reactions of aromatic acetals resulting in synthetically important compounds as the major products. But the literature lacks detailed study on the action of halocompounds on aromatic acetals. Acetals play a vital role in bioorganic research in exploring anti-malarial, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour and anti-cancer activities. It reacted by the reagent of phenyl hydrazinehydrochloride to form a product as 2-chloro benzyl butyl ether. Similarly on sodium hydrogen sulphate catalyst Coburn(1977) got 92 percent unsaturated ether from nitro substituted aliphatic ethers. |
