About the Department
ABOUT PHYSICS DEPARTMENT
The department was incepted in the year of 2001 with the undergraduate course. It was further upgraded as an undergraduate department in the year 2014 with the sanctioned strength of 100 students. The department was conferred as post graduate Department in the year 2004 with sanctioned PG strength of 26. The department is fully equipped with modern lab and good infrastructure facilities supported by excellent teaching expertise. The goal of the department is to nurture young talents to focus on standard assessment and outcomes to ensure that all students learn in more powerful way. The department also includes research aptitudes in our students by various research projects.

To impart high quality of education in the field of Physics, we are committed to achieve excellence through a standard curriculum pertaining to the research relevant to the society and employment for the nation building.
MISSION
To promote the research and creative activities among students and updating the syllabus, equipping laboratory resources, reinforcing a sound alumni-department rapport, staff /student visit to National /International labs. High standards of comprehensive education by developing the intellectual strength of students and guiding them towards scientific and technical excellence.

ELIGIBILITY:
Candidate must have at least cleared her 12th class with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate from Higher Senior secondary.
