About the Department

  Department of Tamil was established in the year 2000. it was started with 29 students and 5 faculties, gradually the strength was increased and got affiliation for PG course (M.A Tamil ) in the year of 2004.Department was  functioning in a grand manner. To initiate the activities of the department “Tamil ilakkiya Peravai” was inaugurated and conducted many activities like speech competition, singing, poetry writing, debates, essay writing etc...  For the upliftment of the student’s talent. In the end of the every academic year to propagate the importance Tamil language “muthamizh vizha “was celebrated in the huge manner. 

Our department students were intellectual not only in the academic area and also in extracurricular activities. They got placed in university rank list; few of them are placed in government jobs.  The department faculties render their service for the development of students for the past 23 years. The efforts and dedication of the faculties are tremendous.   The department assures that will maintain the good name and fame of the institution   and shows our gratitude to the management.
