ABOUT IQAC

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Arcot Sri Mahaalakshmi Women’s College was established in 2021.  Since its inception, the primary objective of this committee has been to focus on "Quality Enhancement and Sustenance." The IQAC has been actively engaged in steering the college towards excellence and serves as a guiding body for enhancing the institution's performance across all areas.Through a systematic approach to quality enhancement, we aim to create an environment that fosters academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. We prioritize stakeholder feedback, conduct regular assessments, and implement effective strategies to drive continuous improvement across all facets of our institution.

Overall, the IQAC has been a cornerstone in the college's journey towards sustained quality enhancement, methodically guiding improvements, and facilitating various initiatives aimed at academic excellence and institutional development.

Functions of IQAC

• Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Colleges.
• Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
• Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes;
• Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
• Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
• Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the College, leading to quality improvement.
• Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining / enhancing the institutional quality.
