About the Department:

 The Department of Commerce came into being since the inception of the college in 1999. Since it inception there Had been steady growth of the Department. The department was uplifted as the department of Post – Graduation (M.Com) in 2002. In order to fulfill the demand from the students population, an additional section was started for B.Com., in the year 2008.

In 2014, the Department has started M.Phil., (full time) leading to research. Over the years the commerce department has excelled in the academic pursuit by getting university ranks and medals. The Department had conducted number of seminars, workshops and symposium to prove its excellence. Qualified and experienced faculty members are assets of the department and they contributed much to the development of the department.

In 2023, the Ph.D(Full time) course was started and encouraging students to do research courses. The department strongly believes to contribute for quality research thereby creating proficient researchers.

VISION:

The Department is committed to integrate all facets of commerce to educate and train innovative and competent human resource globally suitable for industry, business and service sector and to equip and encourage them to start their own ventures in urban or rural areas benefitting both the classes and masses.

We are dedicated to secure and deliver knowledge through teaching, research and extension; and to seek continuous improvement in the quality of education to remain globally competitive.
