About the Department
About
ASMWC was established in the year 1999. The department was established in the year 2000 with an intake of 30 students but now there are 340 students. The department have qualified and experienced faculty members to improve and enhance the knowledge of the student community. The BCA program is designed to develop and to provide a core computer application foundation to the students from commerce, computer, mathematics background. We motivate, train and provide placement to the students to find lucrative job opportunities in leading IT company such as inofsys,wipro,TCS,CTS Etc.
Our main aim is to making the student as industry ready candidate with lots of practical exploration opportunities in different software platforms. Our Department helps the students to acquire the up-to-date technical knowledge and develop the skills needed for a successful start to careers in the computing industry. We provide a strong foundation to adopt upcoming software updations in Computer Software Industry.
The department conduct periodic seminar and activities to strengthen the industry institution fushion to the students.

This Paper “Moving OS to Web Using Cloud Computing†aims at providing the users with the most easy and the efficient way of using an OS, which is stored in a Server and accessing it from anywhere (at Office or home). The only thing you need to do is that you should have a system with minimum configuration with an internet connection and having a browser for accessing the OS present in the Server. In this Paper we are going to introduce the Web OS – „Moving OS to the Web‟ concept using Cloud Computing. Using Web OS we will be using the concept of Software as a Service which has a Fabulous advantage, which is, we can install a new software in one server and can access the software from other systems. The Advantages of Web OS are it runs on any Internet enabled computer or device. This is important for mobile workers or people who don‟t have their own computers and must work out of Internet cafes, libraries, or schools. Also, Web OS users can work, log out, and then log in later from a different computer. The future enhancement to this Paper is to make the concept of Cloud computing more efficient and reliable; we are going to include Grid computing for providing much more performance for the systems which access the WebOS. This is done since more users login at the same time and the Server might not be able to provide the equal performance to all the systems, so when we add Grid Computing by combining other systems to the server we can achieve the performance by getting the performance from the systems that are connected to the server and providing them to the Systems that are accessing the Web OS. |

Abstract [+]
Sign language recognition is an important research problem for enabling communication with blind impaired people. This paper presents principal component analysis which is a fast and efficient technique for recognition of sign gestures from video stream. Capturing of images from live video can be done using webcam or an android device. Proposed System is capable to capture three frames per second from video stream. After the Acquisition, system compares three continuous frames to know the frame, containing static posture shown by hand. This static posture is recognized as a sign gesture. Now it is matched with stored gesture database to know its meaning. It suggests an alternative path in voice or audio format and this system can be applied in real time. |
