 NOISE POLLUTION MEASUREMENT- ECO CARE

Noise pollution is the presence of unwanted or excessive sound in the environment. It is measured in decibels (dB) using a Sound Level Meter. Measuring noise levels helps to identify pollution levels and assess their impact on human health and the environment.

OBJECTIVES

  • To create awareness among students about the harmful effects of noise pollution on the environment and living beings.
  • To train students to measure and record noise levels using a sound level meter or suitable mobile application.
  • To identify major sources of noise pollution such as vehicles, industries, loudspeakers and construction activities.
  • To encourage students to monitor noise levels in their college and surrounding areas.
  • To develop eco-friendly habits among students to reduce unnecessary noise and maintain a peaceful environment.
  • To motivate students to take environmental care initiatives by creating awareness among their friends, families and local communities.
  • To promote a clean, healthy and noise-free environment through responsible participation and sustainable environmental practices.
