Instructions to Invigilators
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE EXAM INVIGILATORS
- All invigilators must report to the Centre Superintendent at least one hour before the commencement of each examination.
- Invigilators must reach their allotted examination hall at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the examination.
- Invigilators are required to remain alert, attentive and vigilant throughout the entire duration of the examination.
- Carrying mobile phones or any reading material by the invigilator is strictly prohibited.
- Invigilators must ensure that no candidate brings any unauthorized materials (such as notes, electronic devices or written material) into the examination hall.
- No candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination hall without a valid Hall Ticket and College ID card.
- No candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination hall after 15 minutes from the commencement of the examination.
- No candidate shall be permitted to leave the examination hall before the completion of the examination time.
- All absent cases should be distinctly written in Red ink in the Answer script.
- The Invigilator should verify all the entries on the Answer Script of the Candidate and sign the Answer Script. The Candidate should be asked to fill all the blanks on the answer sheet. (Answer scripts without the signature and Name of the Invigilators shall NOT be evaluated.)
- In case of any problem the invigilator may bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Superintendent of Examinations (CSE).
- Adjustment in the invigilation duty should be informed to the Chief Superintendent of Examinations (CSE) one day prior to the date of duty assigned with alternative arrangement made in case of absence.
- In case of availing leave due to emergency/medical ground during examination days the staffs are requested to inform The Chief Superintendent or The Controller of Examinations prior to the duty allotment
- All invigilators appointed in a hall are required to report back in the examinations cell after completion of the examination and the members are collectively responsible for the return of the answer books.
- Ensuring the fair and smooth conduct of the examination is the primary responsibility of the invigilator.
