Responsibilities of the Observer
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE OBSERVER
- The Observer shall report to the college one hour prior to the commencement of the examination
- The Observer shall inspect all examination arrangements and take necessary measures in consultation with the COE.
- The Observer must be present during the opening of question paper packets. Sealed packets shall be opened only in the presence of the Observer, Chief Superintendent, COE and Hall Superintendent.
- The Observer shall verify the integrity of the Question paper packets, including the seal, date and time and cross-check them against the official timetable.
- The Observer must sign the Question paper cover, recording the date and time of verification. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to the COE or Chief Superintendent.
- The Observer shall conduct periodic inspections of all examination halls to maintain discipline and prevent any Malpractice.
- In the event of Malpractice, the Observer shall promptly document the incident and inform the COE or Chief Superintendent.
- At the conclusion of the examination, the Observer shall assist the COE in Scrutinizing, Packing and Sealing the Answer scripts.
- The Observer shall ensure that all Answer scripts are properly packed and sealed in their presence.
- The Observer shall affix their signature, along with the facsimile signature of the Chief Superintendent, on the sealed packets.
- Any serious lapse or irregularity observed during the examination must be reported immediately to the COE or Chief Superintendent.
